RRI - Deductions

Greetings once more to our beloved Starfallen!

You've all done well in exploring that new shard; I'm given to understand that you all faced your fair share of troubles out there, and have risen admirably to the task. And from what I've overheard, you've all made your fair share of discoveries while you were out there as well!

A few juicy little tidbits have already been passed along and started circulating among our Scholars, but as we all know, hearsay is no substitute for firsthand experience. So we'd like to hear what it was like out there in your own terms, and work together to puzzle out what may have happened out there!

I'm sure some of you are also wondering exactly what made this shard become attracted to us in the first place. And that's a very good question. Never stop asking questions!

For now, I'll sit back and allow you all to collectively think some of these matters through. But before I forget: Some of you have found some interesting artifacts and items of interest out there and passed them along to us for study. Feel free to take this chance to follow up and we'll tell you what we've learned!

I WOULDN'T WANT TO DISSECT IT, ANYWAY! THAT WOULD BE VERY RUDE. ...AND POTENTIALLY MURDERY. NOW, OBSERVATION, ON THE OTHER HAND! THAT I CAN DO.

BUT YOU HAVE A POINT, I THINK? I'M NOT SUPER FAMILIAR WITH NON-MONSTER ANIMALS ON ACCOUNT OF BEING TRAPPED UNDERGROUND MY WHOLE LIFE. WE HAVE DOGS AND CATS, BUT THEY'RE AS INTELLIGENT AS ANY OTHER MONSTER FOR THE MOST PART.

BUT IN THE HUMAN MOVIES I KNOW PETS CAN BE VERY KIND AND LOVING. I JUST WASN'T SURE WHERE THE ELEMENTALS FIT IN THE BIGGER PICTURE. I'M STILL TRYING TO WRAP MY SKULL AROUND MONSTERS NOT BEING SO... SAPIENT. METAPHORICALLY, SINCE SKULLS AREN'T EXACTLY BUILT FOR WRAPPING ANYTHING BUT BRAINS.

I GUESS THE QUESTION IS, WHAT'S THE SAFEST WAY TO DO THESE STUDIES. I'D ASSUME AN INDOOR ENVIRONMENT WITHOUT EXTERNAL FACTORS LIKE RAIN AND WIND WOULD BE BEST?

From what I've been told, it sounds like you may have a hard time even coaxing it out of its lamp!

But it depends on what sort of studies you're planning on doing, now, doesn't it? Did you have anything in mind?

PROBABLY JUST OBSERVATIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL STUDIES. I WOULDN'T WANT TO PUT IT THROUGH ANYTHING TOO STRESSFUL!!!

BUT I WONDER IF I SHOULD MAKE A TINY PUZZLE FOR IT TO SOLVE. THAT MIGHT BE A GOOD WAY TO MEASURE ITS INTELLIGENCE AND CUNNING!
